Optimizing bone health to reduce fracture risk through education, safe strengthening exercises, and falls prevention.
POST-OPERATIVE REHABILITATION
In-home physiotherapy enables early release from hospital, and a smooth transition from hospital to home. Use of home exercise equipment, assistive devices, community gym/pool. Rapid return to the activities and sports you enjoy.
SPINAL CONDITIONS
Back pain, neck pain, scoliosis, spinal stenosis, disc injury/herniation, sciatica. Often due to faulty postures or movements, trauma (motor vehicle collision) , or genetic variations. In-home physiotherapy addresses posture and muscle imbalances, correct movement patterning, with the use of hands-on treatment as needed.
NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS
Stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, MS, peripheral neuropathy (eg. chemotherapy). In-home physiotherapy utilizes acupuncture, EMS, TENS, specific exercise prescription, assistive devices, modified movement techniques to optimize function at home.
STROKE
In-home stroke rehabilitation enables gradual recovery of purposeful movement in your own environment using your own personal effects.
POSTURAL PAIN SYNDROMES
Posture is everything! It is fundamental to efficient, painfree and safe movement. A full postural
in-home assessment will reveal muscle imbalances which can be corrected to optimize posture and movement, and reduce or eliminate pain.
SPORTS INJURIES
Repetitive movements, excessive forces, faulty postures, and muscle imbalances can lead to injury. One-hour in-home treatment sessions allow for comprehensive assessment and treatment - pain control measures, soft tissue mobilization, postural correction, and exercise progression toward return to sport.
